I look up to the mountains—does my help come from there? Psalms 121:1 NLT
Good morning fellow disciples.
Who do you look to when you are in need? Where do you look when you need help?
Is it to a parent, family member, teacher, pastor, fellow disciple, a bank, government institution, a loan shark, or to yourself? Do you seek help from spirits or supernatural beings?
Depending on our circumstances we can get help from one or more of the above-mentioned sources. We can look to many persons or institutions for help, but as disciples of Jesus Christ, we know who our help should be.
Like David we can boldly and confidently say: “My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth!” Psalms 121:2 NLT
Is God the person that you go to for help?
Do you always go to Him?
Do you go to Him first?
Prayer: I look up to the mountains—does my help come from there? No! My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth! He will not let me stumble; the one who watches over me will not slumber.
The Lord himself watches over me! The Lord stands beside me as my protective shade. The Lord keeps me from all harm and watches over my life. The Lord keeps watch over me as I come and go, both now and forever. Amen.
