rush, cut, mow

Meticulous

By Andrew Williams – March 31, 2021

Scripture:  “So he went out and caught 300 foxes. He took torches, turned the foxes tail-to-tail, and put a torch between each pair of tails. Then he ignited the torches and released the foxes into the standing grain of the Philistines. He burned up the piles of grain and the standing grain as well as the vineyards and olive groves.” Judges 15:4‭-‬5 HCSB

Observation: When we are wronged we sometimes lash out in anger in an unthinking manner. As I listened to this passage it struck me how much thought, planning and effort Samson put into his revenge on the Philistines.
He could have just hurt his wife’s family, but, instead he went after the entire people.
In this way he was used by God to help free the Israelites from oppression.

Application: Sometimes God allows our seemingly wrong choices to bring about deliverance, or to put at enmity with His enemies so that we end up being the instruments He uses to punish them.
Today I will look at my situation and choices in light of God’s plans for my life and use them to bring glory to his Name.

Prayer: Father God use me I pray to do your will here on Earth despite my poor choices. Amen
