Meditate on How God Works

By Andrew Williams

God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us.
1 Corinthians 12:6 NLT

Good morning fellow disciples.

The gift of the Holy Spirit with His manifestations in us is a topic that garners a lot of discussion. In this passage, Paul didn’t want his fellow disciples to be ignorant of how God works in and through us.

Paul states that: “There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit is the source of them all. There are different kinds of service, but we serve the same Lord. God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us.” 1 Corinthians 12:4-6 NLT

As we meditate on how God works in our lives, we realize that it is His Holy Spirit in us who empowers us to do His work, and to live the lives that are pleasing to Him.

His gift of His Holy Spirit gives us constant fellowship with Him. His Holy Spirit is our teacher, our advocate, and the one who empowers us for service. The services or the ministries that we perform are all to the same God.

It is the manifestations of His Holy Spirit in us that helps to edify us as a body. The Holy Spirit helps us to work together to bring about God’s fulsome plan for His creation. God has also provided gifts to the Church, which we know are the Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers?

When we meditate on these gifting’s, we realize that it is God Himself who is working in and through us to ensure the expansion of His Kingdom.

As you continue meditating on these verses, focus on how God is working in your life. Ponder what He is trying to teach you. Think about how He wants to use you. And finally, think about how you can obediently submit and surrender to His will for your life.

Prayer: Father God, I’m willing to work with You and Your Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit, I am your temple. Teach me, guide me, lead me, and help me to live the way that Father God would want me to live here on earth. Work in me and through me to advance Your Kingdom here on earth. Amen.
