The letter to the king of Israel said: “With this letter I present my servant Naaman. I want you to heal him of his leprosy.”
2 Kings 5:6 NLT
Good morning fellow disciples.
Petition: something asked or requested, an earnest request, or a formal written request made to an authority or organized body.
The king of Syria made a formal written petition to the king of Israel to heal his servant Naaman. We know that the king of Israel could not do this. However the prophet Elisha did.
This healing would not have occurred if the king had not written down his petition and sent it to the king of Israel.
What is it that you need?
Have you made your petition in writing to the person who can grant your petition?
Have you ever written down your petitions and “given/sent” them to God?
Prayer: Father God, here is my written petition to You: “ I am in need of salvation, deliverance, healing, and being made whole. I want to be Your effective disciple and I want to live like Jesus did while He was here on earth. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and use me to change the world for You.”
Grant me these petitions I pray. Amen.
