Jeremiah 31:3 NLT- Long ago the Lord said to Israel: “I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love, I have drawn you to myself.
Good morning fellow disciples.
We are made in the image of God. Our relationships need to be marked by love. In Jeremiah 31:3 we see God telling His people that He has loved them with an everlasting love. And with that love He has drawn them to Him. God’s love for us was so great that He sent His Son to prove that to us.
Jesus did not only tell us of the Father’s love, but He demonstrated it to us.
John 15:9 NLT – “I have loved you even as the Father has loved me. Remain in my love.
We’re told that we should worship God in Spirit and in Truth. We are born of the Spirit of God, and as such we are His children. We are expected to love Father God and the Lord Jesus Christ. But Jesus also commands us to love one another.
John 15:12 NLT – This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you.
Do you love God?
Do you love Jesus?
Do you love your fellow disciples?
Prayer: Father God, today we are reminded that we should love You, love the Lord Jesus Christ, Love ourselves and our fellow disciples. We should love, love, love!
Thank You for loving us with an everlasting love and drawing us to You. We love You, Lord. And we will continue to love our brothers and sisters, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Amen
