Romans 12:1 NLT – And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.
Good morning fellow disciples.
Sacrifice: an act of offering to a deity something precious.
When you offer yourself as a living sacrifice, you are giving yourself to God. When you give your sacrifice, you don’t take it back. Here are some things that you must realize when you offer yourself as a living sacrifice to God Almighty:
1. What you offer no longer belongs to you.
2. God must have the right to do with the offering whatever He chooses to.
Are you willing to do this?
Remember you are still alive, and God will require that you live according to His will. God may ask you to leave your home, give up your job, leave the person that you are currently with, or give up what you cherish the most, in order to be His witness to the world.
Are you willing to give God complete control? Are you willing to surrender and submit to Him, and to live obedient to His every will?
If you truly want to worship God, then offering your body as a living sacrifice is the way to do it. This sacrifice is pleasing to God.
Do it, today!
Prayer: Lord, I surrender and submit my entire being to You. Accept me as a living sacrifice. I give You all rights and privileges to my life and I will do Your will for the rest of my life. Amen.
