Good morning fellow disciples.
At this point in the bible what do we know about God?
- We know that the creator, Elohim, is more than one person.
- God speaks things into being.
- God has a spirit/is Spirit.
- God made a physical body for us, which suggests that God has a physical form.
- God wants us to rule over His creation, and
- God wants us to be like Him.
If we are made in the image of God, it means that we also have spirits. We are spirit beings.
Spirit is defined as, the non-physical part of a person which is the seat of emotions and character.
We were made to have emotions and character like God. We are special and unique among God’s creations.
Today, spend some time reflecting on your emotions and your character and ask yourself: “Am I like God?”
Prayer: Almighty God, thank You for making us like You! Thank You for giving us a spirit that can fellowship with Your Holy Spirit. We love You Lord, and we will live our lives the way You intended us to. Amen.
