“Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion. It cannot be shaken; it remains forever. ” Psalms 125:1 HCSB
In the Old Testament, Zion is overwhelmingly a poetic and prophetic designation and is infrequently used in ordinary prose. Mount Zion is the place where Yahweh, the God of Israel, dwells (Isaiah 8:18; Psalm 74:2), the place where he is king (Isaiah 24:23) and where he has installed his king, David (Psalm 2:6). It is thus the seat of the action of Yahweh in history.
God is eternal and so is His throne, rule and authority. Mount Zion is the place where God dwells and no assault on it will prevail. The verse says, ” Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion. It cannot be shaken; it remains forever.”
Are you like mount Zion, unshakeable and eternal? Have you put your trust in the Lord? If you want to be like mount Zion, then you have to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and savior, and live in complete fellowship with Him. When you do so God’s Holy Spirit will be with you forever and you will be like mount Zion.
Prayer : Father God I want to be like mount Zion, so starting now I will put all my trust in You. I will live totally surrendered and submitted to You, obeying You in all things. Make me like mount Zion I pray, in Jesus’ name, amen.
