Romans 8:2 NLT-And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.
Good morning fellow disciples.
There are two powers that can be at work in our lives.
One is the power of sin. This power leads to death if we allow it to operate in our lives. This death is a spiritual death which is manifested as eternal separation from God.
The other is the power of God’s Holy Spirit. God’s Holy Spirit is the life-giving Spirit whose power frees us from the power of sin that leads to death. We allow God’s Holy Spirit to give us life when we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord.
Which power are you allowing to work in your life?
Do you belong to Jesus?
Have you been born of the Spirit, and are you living free from the power of sin?
Prayer: Lord Jesus, I belong to You! Your life-giving Spirit has freed me from the power of sin. Help me to continually walk free from the power of sin. Amen.
