Lead the People in Song

By Andrew Williams

After consulting the people, the king appointed singers to walk ahead of the army, singing to the Lord and praising him for his holy splendor. This is what they sang: “Give thanks to the Lord; his faithful love endures forever!”
2 Chronicles 20:21 NLT

Good morning fellow disciples.

Are you part of the body of Christ? Are you a ‘king’ or one of the people?

When problems show up for the body, what do you do?

From this passage we see that the king consulted with the people and made the decision to praise God as they stepped out in faith to battle their enemies. But they didn’t praise God disorderly, they appointed singers to lead the army to battle.

Are you a worship leader?

It is your job and privilege to lead people in worship! You are the one who has the honor of initiating worshipful praise to God. Take up your position and fulfill it so that all glory goes to God.

Prayer: I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done. I will be filled with joy because of you. I will sing praises to your name, O Most High. The Lord is a shelter for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. Those who know your name trust in you, for you, O Lord, do not abandon those who search for you.
Psalms 9:1‭-‬2‭, ‬9‭-‬10 NLT
