“Those who conducted Paul brought him as far as Athens, and after receiving a command for Silas and Timothy to come to him as soon as possible, they departed.” – Acts 17:15 (ESV)
Good morning fellow disciples.
Acts 17:15 reveals Paul’s immediate desire for his ministry partners to join him. After being escorted to Athens for his safety, Paul sends a command for Silas and Timothy to come to him “as soon as possible.” This highlights the importance of unity, collaboration, and mutual support in advancing the Gospel. It shows that even in the midst of challenging circumstances, Paul understood the need for strong interconnected relationships.
As a disciple, you are called to be responsive to the needs of your fellow believers and to prioritize unity and collaboration in your service to Christ. Timothy’s example reminds you to be willing to set aside your own plans and to respond quickly when others need your help or support. Your presence, your gifts, and your skills can make a significant difference in the lives of those who are laboring for the Kingdom of God.
This week, be aware of the needs of your fellow believers and be ready to respond quickly when they call for your help. Offer your support, your encouragement, and your practical assistance. Seek to work in unity with others to advance the Gospel.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me to be responsive to the needs of my fellow believers and to prioritize unity and collaboration in my service to you. Give me the wisdom to know when and how to help others and the willingness to set aside my own plans to respond to their needs. May my life be a reflection of your love, your grace, and your desire for unity within your body. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
