And He replied to them, “What do you want Me to do for you?” They said to Him, “Grant that we may sit [with You], one on Your right and one on Your left, in Your glory [Your majesty and splendor in Your kingdom].”

Good morning fellow disciples.
When you come boldly to God’s throne of Grace, He is listening. He is interested in your thoughts and desires. He is willing to hear your requests!
Jesus asked the brothers: “What do you want Me to do for you?”
They responded: “Grant that we may sit [with You], one on Your right and one on Your left, in Your glory [Your majesty and splendor in Your kingdom].”
Wow!
James and John were bold! They wanted to rule with Jesus. They wanted to be above all the other disciples!
This request seems a bit selfish, doesn’t it? But, can you honestly say that you wouldn’t want to get special treatment from your Lord and Master? Can you honestly say that you would want to be the least in God’s Kingdom?
Don’t we all want to be rewarded for the “work” that we do as disciples of Christ?
James and John were honest in their request.
Honest is defined as: marked by free, forthright, and sincere expression ;direct and uncomplicated.
Are your conversations with God marked by free, forthright, and sincere expressions ?
Are your conversations with God direct and uncomplicated?
Today, take some time to have an honest conversation with God, and see what God does !
