For I know that as you pray for me and the Spirit of Jesus Christ helps me, this will lead to my deliverance.
Philippians 1:19 NLT
Good morning fellow disciples.
Intercede: to plead on someone else’s behalf; or to intervene on behalf of another.
Deliverance: the action of being rescued or set free.
Paul was confident in the power of prayer! He knew that if his fellow disciples prayed in agreement with the Spirit of God, then he would be delivered!
Are you in need of deliverance?
Do you have people who are interceding on your behalf?
Are they interceding for you in agreement with how the Holy Spirit leads?
God delivers His children when people intercede on their behalf. We see God doing this repeatedly in the Bible and throughout church history. God loves us and wants to set us free. All He wants is for us to intercede on our fellow disciples’ behalf in accordance with His will, and He will grant it.
As a disciple of Christ, you are authorized and empowered to set people free.
Will you intercede for their deliverance today?
Prayer: Father God, I come to you on behalf of myself and my fellow disciples who are in need of being set free from all the things that are currently keeping us captive. Like Paul, I believe that my prayers and the prayers of other believers will lead to our deliverance.
Lord, set us free! Save us! Deliver us, in Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
