Intercede for All People

I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them.
1 Timothy 2:1 NLT

Good morning fellow disciples.

Intercede: to intervene between parties with a view to reconciling differences; mediate; to plead on someone else’s behalf; or intervene on behalf of another.

My fellow disciples, I urge you to pray first of all for all people. Not just family, Not just friends, Not just fellow disciples, Not just loved ones, but for all people. All people include all races, nationalities, sexes, ages, and religious beliefs.

Are you praying for all people?

What do you ask for when you pray to God for them?

Paul tells us that we should ask God to help them. Paul said we should intercede on their behalf and to give thanks for them. Are you praying like this for everyone that you know?

Plead on behalf of those who have not accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

Plead on behalf of persons who request prayer from you.

Mediate between warring parties, or persons who are having conflicts with each other.

Intervene between parties with a view to reconciling them one to another.

As the disciples of Christ, we are authorized and empowered by God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit to intercede on behalf of all people. We need to take up the mantle that has been given to us by the Lord Jesus Christ and fulfill this role here on earth.

As intercessors, we are assured by God Himself that He will listen to us because His Son is forever pleading on our behalf. Let us work with God. Let us work with Jesus. Let us work with the Holy Spirit to intercede on behalf of all people.

Prayer: Father God, I want to thank You for all the people that You have here on Earth. They are Yours God, but many of them are not serving You. Father, I intercede on their behalf for You to save them. Place persons in their path who will preach the gospel so that they can know who you are.

I ask you God to help them in their life situations. Bring salvation, deliverance and healing to them Lord. May they become reconciled to You and to each other. I pray blessings and peace over them. Hear my prayer of intercession and grant my requests I pray. Amen.
