In Mind

“Indeed, I have kept all His ordinances in mind and have not disregarded His statutes.” Psalms 18:22 HCSB

Good morning fellow disciples. Let us define some words from this verse.

Ordinance – something ordained or decreed by fate or a deity; a law set forth by a governmental authority.

Statute – an act of a corporation or of its founder intended as a permanent rule.

Mind – the element or complex of elements in an individual that feels, perceives, thinks, wills, and especially reasons.

So with these definitions in mind( pun intended), we see that David is saying that he has kept everything that God : ordained and decreed and set fort as law and has not disregarded any of the laws that God intended as a permanent rule. All these he feels, perceives, thinks, wills, and especially reasons.

They are forever with him. He perceives them, thinks on them, feels them in his innermost being, reasons/meditates on them and as a part of his own will he focuses on keeping them.

Do you spend that much effort on knowing the word of God? Do you spend that much effort on knowing God? Do you really “keep in mind the things of God and God Himself? Sigh!

Prayer :Father God, I want to keep You in my mind always ! Help me to focus all that I am on You. Amen.
