Therefore I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; My God will hear me.
Micah 7:7 NKJV
Good morning fellow disciples.
Wait: To stay proceedings, or suspend any business, in expectation of some person, event, or the arrival of some hour.
In this world there are so many distractions and so many options to solve our problems. We are tempted to sin and to see sinful choices as the best options for solving our problems. What do you choose to do?
Micah says that in spite of all the choices that are placed before him he will look to the Lord, and wait on the Lord because his God will hear him. He describes God as the “God of my salvation”.
Isn’t that an appropriate description of who God is? He is the God who saves! He is the one who brings about salvation for us! No other god can do that! As a child of God we are assured that our God hears us.
Whatever you are facing today put your trust in God, the God of your salvation, because He will hear you and He will deliver you out of your problematic situation.
Prayer: Father God, You are the only God who saves. You are my God and I know You hear me when I cry out to You. God, I am surrounded about my enemies. I am surrounded by persons who would want me to choose to do evil instead of obeying You.
I will not follow them! I will not surrender to them! I will not entertain their way of living!
I will wait on You because You will deliver me. While I wait I continue to serve You, I continue to proclaim Your word, and I continue to live in the way that You command, because you are my God and I serve only You. Amen.
What a mighty God we wait on!
Some trust in chariots, some in horses
But we will remember the name of our Lord our God.
Amen.
