I am tired of living among people who hate peace. I search for peace; but when I speak of peace, they want war! Psalms 120:6-7 NLT
Good morning, fellow disciples.
Sometimes I just want peace and quiet. Sometimes I just want to be away from the crowd, family, friends, work, and church. I want to be away from them because they bring so much contention. Sometimes I want to be the peacemaker, but the people who I’m counting on to work along with me are the ones who are bringing contention, discord, and enmity to the situation. I am tired of living among them!
Sometimes like the psalmist I just want to get away from these people. I cry out to the Lord and bring my troubles to Him, and He answers my prayer.
Are you tired of living among lying and deceitful people who hate peace and are only seeking war? Unfortunately, we won’t be able to get away from all of them, however, we can rest in the assurance that our God will answer our prayers.
No matter how tired we are of our situations, we can trust our God to give us His peace in the midst of every storm, every trial, and every warring situation. Today, let us all redirect our focus off the hateful and deceptive persons and place it on our loving God.
Prayer: God, I am tired of living among people who hate peace. I search for peace, but when I speak of peace, they want war. I take my troubles to You, Lord, I cry out to You, and You answer me! Rescue me O Lord from liars and from all deceitful people, In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
