James 4:10 NLT- Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor.
By Andrew Williams
Good morning fellow disciples.
As we continue to listen to God’s expressed mind and will, we are instructed by the apostle John to humble ourselves before God.
Humble is defined as 1: not proud or haughty, not arrogant or assertive, and 2: reflecting, expressing, or offered in a spirit of deference or submission.
Do you want to be honored by God?
If the answer is yes, then there’s one simple thing that you need to do. You need to humble yourself before God! You must not be proud, haughty, arrogant, or assertive in his presence. You must submit to Him!
Remember that God is omnipresent and there’s nowhere that you can hide from Him. This means that you’ll need to live a life of humility and not only try to be humble when you are approaching Him.
Can you do that?
Prayer: Father God, I now, humble myself before You. I love You Lord and I will live humbly here on earth. As I draw close to You, please draw close to me. May the life that I live be pleasing to You, so that You will lift me up in honor. Amen.
