“and My people who are called by My name humble themselves, pray and seek My face, and turn from their evil ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.”
2 Chronicles 7:14 HCSB
Good morning fellow disciples.
Humble: reflecting, expressing, or offered in a spirit of deference or submission.
Wait: To stay or rest in expectation; to stop or remain stationary, till the arrival of some person or event.
Do you want God to hear your prayers from heaven?
Do you want God to forgive your sins?
Do you want God to heal your land, your church, your business, your home, your family, and your relationships?
As God’s people, we are instructed to humble ourselves before Him. We are to pray and seek His face. We are to turn from our wicked ways.
The problem is many times we don’t really humble ourselves before Almighty God. We pray to Him but we don’t really seek His face. We only go to Him to get what we want, and not to get to know Him. We don’t spend time trying to become the persons that His word tells us to be.
The other problem is that we don’t turn from our wicked ways. We say that we will, but we don’t.
If we fulfill the criteria of humbling ourselves, praying and seeking God’s face, and truly turn from our wicked ways, then as we wait for Him to show up He will hear from heaven, forgive us, and heal our land.
Prayer: Father God, I am surrendered and submitted to Your will, to Your way, and to Your Holy Spirit who lives within Me. I will fully obey You in all things. Teach me Your ways God and show me who You are. I now confess all my sins to You and ask You to forgive me Lord.
I know You hear me God! Grant me this one thing I pray: “make me fully Yours through Jesus Christ my Lord and help me to faithfully serve You”. Amen.
May we learn the virtue of humility while we wait to hear from God.
