“The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer, my God, my mountain where I seek refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. ” Psalms 18:2 HCSB
Good morning fellow disciples. Yesterday we prayed from this verse. Today we will continue to look at the last two phrases.
In his “Exposition of the Bible,” John Gill illustrated the horn as being the force used to push, scatter, and destroy Israel’s enemies and save them from harm. A stronghold is: a fortified place or : a place dominated by a particular group or marked by a particular characteristic.
Prayer : God, You are indeed the “horn of my salvation”. Lord Jesus You have saved me ! You won complete salvation for me and I wholeheartedly accept it all.
God, you are my fortified place, and no one can take me away from you. God I surrender my body, my soul(my thoughts and emotions), and my spirit to You so that You will be the only stronghold for me. I want my life to be marked by You Lord and I want my relationships to be dominated by what flows out of fellowshipping with You.
Grant this prayer, I pray in Jesus’ Name, amen.
Amen
Amen.
