Holy Church

By Andrew Williams

‘I am writing to God’s church in Corinth, to you who have been called by God to be his own holy people. He made you holy by means of Christ Jesus, just as he did for all people everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours.’ 1 Corinthians 1:2

Good morning fellow disciples.

Holy: devoted entirely to God or the work of God.

God calls us to be entirely devoted to Him and the work He assigns us. We are not made Holy by what we do for God. We are made holy only by accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord.

God’s church is totally devoted to Him and does His work.

Are you totally devoted to God? Are you totally devoted to preaching the gospel and making disciples for God’s Kingdom?

Remember that your devotion to God allows persons to hear and accept the gospel, and they become members of God’s holy church.

Prayer: Father God, thank you for making us holy through Jesus Christ Your son. We are entirely devoted to You, Lord. As we do Your work, and people confess Jesus Christ as their savior, add holy members to Your Church, we pray. Amen.
