Ruth 2:11-12 NLT – “Yes, I know,” Boaz replied. “But I also know about everything you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband. I have heard how you left your father and mother and your own land to live here among complete strangers.
Good morning fellow disciples.
These are some of the highlights of Ruth’s life:
1. Born in a pagan land,
2. Grew worshipping idols,
3. Got married to a worshipper of the One True God,
4. Introduced to Jehovah,
5. Her husband died,
6. She left her country and gods to take care of her mother-in-law,
7. Pledged allegiance to Jehovah God,
8. She went to live in Israel,
9. Took care of her mother-in-law,
10. Got remarried,
11. Gave birth to a son who would be the ancestor to King David and our Lord Jesus Christ!
What can we learn from Ruth’s life highlights?
God has a plan for our lives. No matter where we are born, how ungodly we have been, or how badly our lives have been going, if we turn to wholeheartedly serve God, He will use us to bless others.
God will provide for us and use us to significantly impact the lives of others.
No matter what you are going through today, or how unpleasant your life has been, will you be like Ruth and give your heart completely to God?
Prayer: Father God, as I ponder the highlights of my life, I want to be like Ruth who gave up everything that she knew to follow You. I ask You, Lord, to use me to impact the lives of others as I surrender wholeheartedly to You. Amen.
