I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you. Psalms 119:11 NLT
Good morning fellow disciples.
Where have you hidden God’s WORD? Is it in your Bible, on your desk, in a drawer or on your pillow? Is it an app on your phone that you rarely ever access? Are you only able to access it when you literally read God’s WORD, or do you hide God’s WORD deep in your heart?
Heart is defined as the central or innermost part, or the essential or most vital part of something.
Have you hidden God’s WORD in your innermost being? Has God’s WORD become part of what is essential for you?
When you hide God’s WORD in your heart, and you meditate on it, it keeps you from sinning. When you ponder God’s WORD (which is His expressed and manifested mind and will) and obey it, you become more like God.
1 Peter1:15-16 states: But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy. For the Scriptures say, “You must be holy because I am holy.”
Fellow disciple, you are made in God’s image, therefore hide His WORD in your heart so that you may not sin, and you may walk holy just as He is Holy.
Prayer : God, my heart is Yours. I have hidden Your WORD within it so that I may meditate on it day and night. As I meditate on Your WORD, I become more like You. I become set apart, I become holy. As I focus my thoughts on, reflect on, and ponder over You expressed and manifested mind and will, I learn how to live how You desire.
Holy Spirit help me to continue hiding God’s WORD in my heart so that I may not sin. Help me to continually meditate on it day and night. Empower me to obey God’s every WORD, in Jesus’ name. I pray. Amen.
