“Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is.” (1 John 3:2)
Good morning fellow disciples.
Children know who their parents are! Whether they be biological or adopted, a child knows without a shadow of a doubt who its parents are.
Children, however, need to mature, grow, or transform into who they will become. They know that they have a lot to do and a lot to learn before they can be the person they were intended to be.
Likewise, as children of God, we need to be like Jesus Christ. However, we are not yet like him in His resurrected form, and we will only achieve it when Jesus Christ returns for us. Until then, we continue to live surrendered, submitted, and obedient to the words and teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Are you consistently maturing fellow son of God?
Remember, our identity as God’s children is a present reality, but the fullness of our transformation is yet to be revealed. As we await the return of Christ, let us continue to grow in our resemblance to our Lord Jesus Christ, striving to be more like Him.
Prayer: Father God, as we await our full transformation to be like our Lord Jesus Christ, we will continue to serve You, love You, live for You, and to grow to be more and more like Jesus. Amen.
