Colossians 4:6 TPT – Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone. Let every word you speak be drenched with grace and tempered with truth and clarity. For then you will be prepared to give a respectful answer to anyone who asks about your faith.
Good morning fellow disciples.
Witnessing isn’t just about learning how to tell someone about Jesus and then going and repeating what you have practiced. It also includes how we live our lives before others and according to this verse, how we speak.
Are your words full of grace?
Are they tempered with truth and clarity?
Do you respectfully answer those who question you about your faith?
The way we speak to people can make them resistant to hearing and accepting the gospel. When we lack grace or compassion people naturally will not have receptive hearts.
What responses have you been getting from the people that you are witnessing to? Do you need to change how you speak?
Prayer: Father God, let my conversation be gracious and attractive so that I will have the right response for everyone. Amen.
