God’s Procession – Singers Are in Front

By Andrew Williams

Your procession has come into view, O God— the procession of my God and King as he goes into the sanctuary. Singers are in front, musicians behind; between them are young women playing tambourines. Praise God, all you people of Israel; praise the Lord, the source of Israel’s life.
Psalms 68:24‭-‬26 NLT

Good morning fellow disciples.

When God shows up, He has his entourage. His entourage is full of worshippers: singers and musicians.

When God shows up to enter into His sanctuary, you need to understand that you don’t see Him only. The first people you see are the singers. They announce His coming! Their singing creates the Holy atmosphere for God’s arrival.

Are you a singer?

Do you create an atmosphere of worship for persons who are waiting on God?

When people hear you sing, do they wait in expectation because they know that they are going to encounter God soon afterwards?

You are a part of God’s procession, fulfill your role well and bring glory to God!

My encouragement to us today is from the song, “Oh praise the Lord”:

Oh, praise the Lord, all ye nations!
Praise Him, all ye people!
For His merciful kindness is great toward us,
And the truth of the Lord endureth forever.
Praise ye the Lord!

Praise Him, praise Him!
Praise ye the Lord!
Praise Him, praise Him!
Praise ye the Lord!”
