I, John, your brother and partner in the tribulation, kingdom, and endurance that are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos because of God’s word and the testimony about Jesus. I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and I heard a loud voice behind me like a trumpet saying, “Write on a scroll what you see and send it to the seven churches: Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea.”

Good morning fellow disciples.
When you spend time with God worshiping Him in Spirit and in Truth He will speak to you. The ways that He speaks will vary, and the things that He says to you can be many. All you have to do is open yourself up to hear from Him.
Towards the end of his life John received a revelation from the Lord Jesus Christ. I am sure that he had many encounters with God and many conversations also. This one was important because of the instruction that God gave him.
“Write on a scroll what you see and send it to the seven churches: Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea.”
Not only did the seven churches benefit from John’s obedience to write down what he saw and heard, but we also are benefiting from his obedience.
Has God ever told you to write something down for someone else?
I’m smiling as I wrote this because everyday I write down something that He says to me and I send it to my fellow disciples.
Sometimes persons will share the impact that it has on them. Many times I don’t know the impact. However, what I do know is that the more I obey God in writing and sharing, the more I am blessed and the more others are blessed.
Today my final question to you is this: “Will you be obedient to the instructions that God gives you for others?”
Change a life today, change many lives today by being obedient to God’s instruction to you!
