Again the next day, John was standing with two of his disciples. When he saw Jesus passing by, he said, “Look! The Lamb of God! ” The two disciples heard him say this and followed Jesus. When Jesus turned and noticed them following Him, He asked them, “What are you looking for? ” They said to Him, “Rabbi” (which means “Teacher”), “where are You staying? ” “Come and you’ll see,” He replied. So they went and saw where He was staying, and they stayed with Him that day. It was about 10 in the morning. Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of the two who heard John and followed Him.
John 1:35-40 HCSB
Good morning fellow disciples.
Are you like Andrew who heard about God and wanted to know more about Him?
Are you like Andrew who started following God from afar?
Are you like Andrew who has been noticed by God and have been asked, “what are you looking for”?
Hear Jesus is instruction to Andrew, “come and see”. This was an invitation by the Son of God to Andrew for Andrew to come and spend time with Him and to get to know Him more. Andrew had already spent time as a disciple of John the Baptist, however, he wanted more. He wanted to have a relationship and to fellowship with the Son of God.
Are you willing to spend time with God to get to know Him more? Do you want this type of fellowship and relationship with God that Andrew was seeking?
God is revealed to you in Scripture, in preaching, in teaching, in fellowshiping with other disciples, and through the revelations of the Holy Spirit. God is speaking to you today telling you to ‘come and see”.
Spend time today actively seeking God and fellowshipping with Him. He will honor you by showing up and revealing Himself to you just the way you need.
I want to know him . I want more
