“Now send men to Joppa and have them call for a man named Simon, who is also called Peter [and invite him here]; he is staying with Simon the tanner, whose house is by the sea.” Acts 10:5-6 AMP
Good morning fellow disciples.
Today we will look at these verses from Acts chapter 10. They tell the story of Cornelius and how an angel from God came and spoke to him. For a fuller understanding of the passage, please read the entire chapter. Today however I will just look at these two verses to emphasize the following.
I want you to understand that God sees, hears, and knows everything. He knows what’s happening in your life, He knows what’s happening with other persons, and He knows how to bring you together in order to solve your situations. In this passage, the angel appeared to Cornelius and told him that God was pleased with him and that he should send for Simon Peter, who was staying at the house of Simon the Tanner in Joppa, which is near the sea.
Do you see how specific the instructions were? God knew exactly where each participant in the story was, He knew exactly what Cornelius did, and He knew that Peter was the one to bring the message of salvation to Cornelius.
I know that you are worried about things in this life and that you don’t see how things are going to work out at times, but have faith my fellow disciples and put your trust in God who is capable to work everything out for your good. Keep your focus on God and allow Him to work in your life!
Prayer: Father God help us to understand how much You love us, and that You know everything that is happening in our lives, and that You will work everything out for our good. Help us to put our faith and trust in You, relying on You to be the source of everything we need. I pray this in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
