Give Thanks for Your Subordinates

By Andrew Williams

Boaz went over and said to Ruth, “Listen, my daughter. Stay right here with us when you gather grain; don’t go to any other fields. Stay right behind the young women working in my field. Ruth fell at his feet and thanked him warmly. “What have I done to deserve such kindness?” she asked. “I am only a foreigner.” “Yes, I know,” Boaz replied. “But I also know about everything you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband. I have heard how you left your father and mother and your own land to live here among complete strangers. May the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge, reward you fully for what you have done.”
Ruth 2:8, ‬10-‬12 NLT‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

Good morning fellow disciples .

Do you have people who work for you?

Are you a manager or a leader in the organization that you work for?

How grateful are you for the persons who work under you / your subordinates?

The persons who are your subordinates have stories and testimonies of their own. They have lived marvelous lives. We may marvel sometimes because of the evil things that they have done, but sometimes it’s because of the great things that they have done.

They are humble, industrious, God fearing, loving and caring persons who you should be grateful for. They bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to your organization / your church. Their work stories and their personal stories can challenge, empower, inspire, and encourage persons to become better persons.

As you get to know them, does your thanksgiving for them increase?

Prayer: Father God, I am so grateful for my subordinates in school, work, ministry, and life! Without them my life would be totally different.

They encourage me, challenge me, and inspire me to be a better person. Father God, I ask You to bless them, guide them, protect them and provide for them. Give them life changing encounters with You so that they can continue to impact not only my life, but also the lives of everyone that they encounter.

I ask this in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
