Give Thanks for Your Nation

What other nation on earth is like your people Israel? What other nation, O God, have you redeemed from slavery to be your own people? You made a great name for yourself when you redeemed your people from Egypt. You performed awesome miracles and drove out the nations and gods that stood in their way.

Good morning fellow disciples.

Yes, I know!
Our nation is not serving God the way that He requires. We are full of sin. We go against His plans, programs, principles, commandments, and directives.

But guess what? Just like Israel was wayward before He redeemed them and delivered them from captivity in Egypt, it’s the same way that God will save our nation.

Just like Israel, our country has a relationship with God. We may be crying due to hardships. We may feel as if there is no way out. We may be crying to God and wondering why He’s not answering us. But guess what, God hears our cries from heaven just like He did when Israel cried out to Him from Egypt.

We need to give thanks for who we are as a nation. We are chosen by God. We are loved by God. God has provided everything that we need to live like a holy nation. All we need to do is listen to Him, understand what He requires of us, and live in obedience to Him.
Let us redirect our focus away from the negatives and focus on the good things about our nation. Take a moment to ponder all the great things about this land that God has given us.

Prayer: Father God, my nation is free to make choices. We have religious freedom. We have a good legislative system. We have sun, beaches, rivers, forests, rural towns and urban towns .

We are blessed beyond measure! Help us to use what you have given us to benefit each other. Help us to stop being selfish and greedy, and start to look out for each and everyone.

Father God, if we put you at the center of everything, our nation will flourish, prosper, and be a beacon and the light for other nations to draw close to You. Continue to bless us as we seek to live for You, and may we as a nation show the world who You are. Amen.
