Dear brothers and sisters, honor those who are your leaders in the Lord’s work. They work hard among you and give you spiritual guidance.
1 Thessalonians 5:12 NLT
Good morning fellow disciples.
Do you give thanks for those who are your leaders in the work of God?
You see them working hard among you! You see them giving you spiritual guidance.
Have you noticed how faithful they have been to God?
Have you been receiving from them?
Have you been teaching others from what you have learned from your leaders?
Paul goes on to say in 1 Thessalonians 5:13 NLT: “Show them great respect and wholehearted love because of their work. And live peacefully with each other.”
We are grateful for our leaders because of the work that they do.
Prayer: Father God we are grateful for those who have led in the spread of the gospel and the discipleship of the saints. We are grateful for those who are now our leaders.
We thank You for filling them with Your Holy Spirit and empowering them to be your effective disciples, and our effective leaders. We ask You to continue using them to do Your work! Use them mightily to edify us!
We are in need of proper teaching and training, Lord. We ask You to give them the encounters they need to live fully in tune with Your will for their lives: to lead us effectively.
Bless them, Lord! Bless them Lord! Bless them! Amen.
