Acts of the Apostles 6:5 NLT – Everyone liked this idea, and they chose the following: Stephen (a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit), Philip, Procorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas of Antioch (an earlier convert to the Jewish faith).
Good morning fellow disciples.
Can you find people in your local congregation who are full of faith and the Holy Spirit?
Ponder that question for a bit!
In Acts chapter 6, they found people who were full of faith and the Holy Spirit. These men were able to fulfil the criteria and to do the work assigned to them, and they brought glory to God.
In many churches nowadays it may be difficult to find people full of faith and the Holy Spirit. Sometimes positions are left empty because no one full of the Holy Spirit can be found, and sometimes persons who lack faith and the baptism of the Holy Spirit are chosen to fill these ministry positions. In both cases this will hamper the spreading of God’s message.
Remember, it is when we are filled with God’s Holy Spirit that we become effective witnesses for God.
Is your congregation stagnant, lukewarm, or dead?
Could it be because it is lacking in people who are full of faith and the Holy Spirit?
