“The brothers immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea, and when they arrived they went into the Jewish synagogue.” – Acts 17:10 (ESV)

Good morning fellow disciples.

Acts 17:10 reveals the quick and decisive response of the believers in Thessalonica to protect Paul and Silas. Facing intense opposition, “the brothers immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea.” Despite the dangers of traveling at night, the believers prioritized the safety and well-being of these faithful missionaries. Upon arriving in Berea, the duo promptly resumed preaching, focusing their efforts on spreading the gospel and demonstrating their dedication to the Lord.

As a disciple, you may face times when you need to adapt your plans, change your strategies, or even flee from danger in order to continue serving God. Silas’ example reminds you that resilience, flexibility, and a willingness to trust in God’s protection are essential for effective ministry. You are empowered to adapt to changing circumstances, to overcome obstacles, and to remain steadfast in your commitment to the Gospel, no matter what challenges you may face.

This week, reflect on any areas in your life where you may need to be more flexible or adaptable in your approach to serving God. Are you clinging to old methods or resisting new opportunities? Be open to change, trust in God’s guidance, and be willing to step out of your comfort zone to fulfill His purposes.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, grant me the wisdom to be flexible and adaptable in my approach to serving you. Help me to trust in your guidance, to embrace new opportunities, and to overcome any obstacles that I may face. May my life be a testament to Your love, Your grace, and Your unwavering power. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
