Good morning fellow disciples.
Acts 15:12 captures a pivotal moment during the Jerusalem Council. After much debate, “all the assembly fell silent” as Barnabas and Paul stepped forward to share their firsthand experiences. They related the “signs and wonders God had done through them among the Gentiles,” providing compelling evidence that God was indeed working powerfully among those who had not been circumcised. This passage underscores the importance of personal testimony and the power of witnessing God’s grace in action. It also speaks to Barnabas and Pauls’ willingness to follow God.
As a disciple, your personal experiences with God are a powerful tool for sharing your faith and for validating the truth of the Gospel. Barnabas’ example reminds you that your testimony, your stories of God’s faithfulness, and your accounts of His miraculous power can have a profound impact on those who are seeking or questioning. Don’t underestimate the value of your personal story in sharing what God is doing in your life.
This week, reflect on the ways in which you have experienced God’s grace, His power, or His faithfulness in your life. Consider how you can share your testimony with others to encourage their faith and to validate the truth of the Gospel. Be prepared to articulate what God has done for you and to share your story with authenticity and passion.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, fill me with Your Holy Spirit and empower me to share my testimony with boldness and clarity. Help me to remember the ways in which you have worked in my life and to articulate Your grace, Your power, and Your faithfulness. May my story be a source of encouragement to others and may it lead them to discover the joy of knowing You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
