Therefore, as the Scriptures say, “If you want to boast, boast only about the Lord.”
1 Corinthians 1:31 NLT
Good morning fellow disciples.
WORD is defined as the expressed or manifested mind and will of God.
BOAST: to proudly tell other people about what you or someone connected with you has done or can do, especially in order to make them admire you.
Are you a disciple of Christ?
1. Who do you boast about?
2. What do you boast about?
3. When you speak in a boastful manner, who do you want people to admire, you or God?
If you want to proudly tell people about someone, tell them about God! This passage of Scripture does not encourage us to boast. It says that IF we want to boast, we should boast about God.
As disciples of Christ, we are intimately connected with God. We are to know Him and we are to make Him known.
Let us tell the world what God has done and what He can do for them. Let us preach Jesus and make Him known. Let us bring them the good news of salvation and deliverance that they can receive only through knowing Jesus Christ as Savior.
Prayer: Lord God, I will boast about You only! Amen.
Amen, In Christ alone.
