Jeremiah 31:3 NLT -Long ago the Lord said to Israel: “I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself.
Good morning fellow disciples.
God loves His people!
He loves them with an everlasting Love!
He draws us to himself with love that can never fail!
Even though this verse names Israel as his people, we know that as disciples of Christ we are now children of God, and we are His!
Long before the time when God made that proclamation, He already loved His creation. When Adam and Eve sinned against Him in the garden of Eden God made preparations to restore mankind’s fellowship with Him.
The entire chapter of Jeremiah 31 speaks of God restoring Israel’s relationship that they had with Him, and making a new covenant that would go far beyond the first.
We are recipients of that new covenant through Jesus Christ.
Can you hear God speaking to you today?
Listen as He speaks: ‘I love you with an everlasting love. With unfailing love, I have drawn you to myself. I will restore our fellowship.’
Prayer: Father God, thank You for loving me with an everlasting love. I really can’t comprehend it, but I am forever grateful that You love me and want me to spend eternity with You. Thank You for drawing me to You and providing the means for me to be Your Kingdom citizen. Amen
