For Yahweh is good, and His love is eternal; His faithfulness endures through all generations.
Psalms 100:5 HCSB
Good morning fellow disciples. For these five days, we will be looking at Psalms 100, and I will be saying what the Holy Spirit has laid upon my heart. Today we examine Psalms 100:5.
We give thanks and praise to Yahweh after we have been received and admitted into His presence. As we continue to worship Him and bow down before Him we give Him all the glory.
Eternal means:
1. having infinite duration: EVERLASTING,
2. characterized by abiding fellowship with God
3. continued without intermission
4. valid or existing at all times: TIMELESS
Our God’s love and faithfulness continues without intermission, has infinite duration, and is valid/existing at all times. God’s love for us and His faithfulness is, is, IS! Ok, let me pause for a bit. It is mind-blowing to realize how much God truly loves and cares for us. His love is unconditional! How can we, not praise, worship, adore, honor, and thank Him every moment of every day! HE IS WORTHY TO BE PRAISED!
Eternal means: characterized by abiding fellowship with God. As we repent, turning from our sinful lifestyle to living like Christ, we need to think of living eternally. We know that God’s love and faithfulness are eternal, but now we must see ourselves in light of that. When we accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior we begin to live our eternal life.
This eternal life is characterized by abiding fellowship with God. This means that we are forever fellowshipping with God. Our abiding fellowship exists at all times and continues without intermission. Is this the life that you have been living since you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord, or has your fellowship with God been interrupted frequently?
Today you can choose to accept God’s eternal love and faithfulness and to faithfully abide with Him.
Prayer: “Lift up a great shout of joy to Yahweh! Go ahead and do it—everyone, everywhere! Worship Yahweh with gladness. Sing your way into his presence with joy! And realize what this really means— we have the privilege of worshiping Yahweh our God. For he is our Creator and we belong to him. We are the people of his pleasure. You can pass through his open gates with the password of praise. Come right into his presence with thanksgiving. Come bring your thank offering to him and affectionately bless his beautiful name! For Yahweh is always good and ready to receive you. He’s so loving that it will amaze you— so kind that it will astound you! And he is famous for his faithfulness toward all. Everyone knows our God can be trusted, for he keeps his promises to every generation! “
