Luke 1:41 NLT – At the sound of Mary’s greeting, Elizabeth’s child leaped within her, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.
Good morning fellow disciples.
When we are filled with God’s Holy Spirit it is always for a purpose.
When Mary and Elizabeth met, as soon as Elizabeth heard Mary’s voice she was filled with the Holy Spirit. In that moment the Holy Spirit made Elizabeth discern what was happening with Mary!
She declared Mary as the mother of her Lord, and she pronounced blessings upon Mary.
Luke 1:42-45 Elizabeth gave a glad cry and exclaimed to Mary, “God has blessed you above all women, and your child is blessed. Why am I so honored, that the mother of my Lord should visit me? When I heard your greeting, the baby in my womb jumped for joy. You are blessed because you believed that the Lord would do what he said.”
Has this ever happened to you? Have you ever met someone, and you immediately wanted to shout out and praise God? Did you, in that moment, get a revelation from the Holy Spirit as to what was happening with that person? Did you end up pronouncing a blessing over that person’s life?
Through God’s Holy Spirit, we encourage others, we speak life over them, and we pronounce blessings on them.
Prayer: Holy Spirit, help me to recognize those who are filled with You and who are being obedient to God. I will praise, honor, and glorify God for the lives that they are living. Use me in whatever way You choose to honor them and to bless them. This I pray, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
