Effects of Not Confessing

By Andrew Williams

When I refused to confess my sin, my body wasted away, and I groaned all day long.

Effects of Not Confessing

Good morning fellow disciples.

Confess: to unburden one’s sins or the state of one’s conscience to God or to a priest.

Have you ever been so ashamed of what you’ve done that you refused to confess your sins to God or to others?

Have you ever thought that your sins were unknown to others and thus refused to confess your sins?

There are many reasons why we refuse to confess our sins. However, for many of us the refusal to confess burdens our consciences. When we are burdened we can become anxious, depressed, guilty, or stressed in many other ways.

This can present with physical effects on our bodies. This can present with lack of appetite, insomnia, excessive drowsiness, weight loss, or headaches, just to mention a few.

How does your refusal to confess your sins affect you?

Wouldn’t it better for you if you unburdened your conscience and free yourself from the spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical stress that you are under?

Regain your health and be made whole by confessing your sins!

Prayer: Lord, I’m tired of wasting away because of my unconfessed sins. Right now, I humble myself before You and confess my sins to You.

I will also seek out those who I have sinned against and make my confessions. Amen
