Then they said to each other, “We’re not doing what is right. Today is a day of good news. If we are silent and wait until morning light, our sin will catch up with us. Let’s go tell the king’s household.”
2 Kings 7:9 HCSB
Good morning fellow disciples.
Wait: To stay; not to depart.
What do you do when you have good news that will benefit others? Do you wait where you are and don’t bring that news to those who will benefit from it?
What do you do when you have something that will change the life of someone else? Do you wait for an extended period of time or do you go quickly to the person and deliver what will change her life?
Are you doing what is right by holding on to that life changing thing?
Isn’t it a sin to not do what will benefit others in a Godly way?
Fellow disciple of Christ, are you waiting for an appointed time {that may never come} to go out and preach the gospel? Are you waiting on an appointed time to witness to a friend or family member?
Isn’t it a sin to wait and not spread the gospel, especially when they die in their sin because you have not left where you are because you are “waiting”?
Prayer: Father God, I will not wait any longer. People need to hear the good news. Disobeying Your call to go and spread the gospel is a sin. I will now depart, get up, and go spread the gospel and help others with what I’ve been given so that they can be free. Amen
Lord , make me a blessing to someone today.
