Do You have Understanding?

By Andrew Williams

Proverbs‬ ‭2:3‬ ‭NLT‬‬- Cry out for insight, and ask for understanding.‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

Good morning fellow disciples.

As we continue to listen to God’s voice and to carefully consider and give attention to what He is saying to us, we are challenged by Proverbs 2:3 which tells us to ask for understanding.

Understanding {the noun} is defined as:
1. The ability to understand something; comprehension, and

2. Sympathetic awareness or tolerance.

Do you have the ability to understand what God is saying to you?

Do you comprehend His WORD?

Do you have sympathetic awareness or tolerance for the persons who you interact with?

These are things that do not come naturally to most of us, and even with years of experience we still struggle to have understanding. According to the writer of Proverbs, we can ask God for understanding. This is a gift that He can give to us.

Understanding is an invaluable gift that helps us to learn about God and teach others about Him. It also helps us to be discerning, and to be compassionate to people who are in need.

Wouldn’t you like to have understanding?

Cry out to God for insight and ask for understanding!

Prayer: Father God, please give me insight and understanding. Amen.
