Conversations with Jesus at His Last Meal – Part 1

Then the disciples set out and came to the city and found [everything] just as He had told them; and they prepared the Passover. And when it was evening, He came with the Twelve [apostles]. And while they were at the table eating, Jesus said, Surely I say to you, one of you will betray Me, [one] who is eating [here] with Me. [Ps. 41:9.]

Good morning fellow disciples.

Many of us look forward to the meal while others look forward to the conversation that takes place while eating the meal.

Some make the great effort to prepare the meal, create the ambiance, and set the table for the meal. Some just show up to partake of the meal and enjoy the company of Jesus in the created ambiance.

What type of disciple are you:

1. Do you look forward to the meal?

>Are you someone who looks forward to a great “worship experience” and a good sermon?

2. Do you look forward to the conversation that takes place while eating the meal?

> Are you someone who look forward to conversing with God while the worship and sermon is going on? Do you delight in God’s Presence, talking and listening to Him in those moments?

3. Do you make the great effort to prepare the meal, create the ambiance, and set the table for the meal?

> Are you the person who sets the stage for others to be blessed by God?

> Are you the person who is willing to be used so that Jesus and others may have a meeting place to have life altering fellowship?

> Are you the type of disciple whose purpose is to serve others and in so doing experience God’s presence more deeply? Or,

4. Do you just show up to partake of the meal and enjoy the company of Jesus in the created ambiance?

> The preparations have already been made. Many have been invited. You made the choice to be with Jesus, to ENJOY His company and to have life changing conversations.

Prayer: Father God, I want to prepare a space where You and others feel welcomed to sit together and enjoy life changing conversations. I want to be a part of those conversations too. I want to experience life to the fullest with You while preparing others to do the same. Amen.
