“Don’t stop him,” said Jesus, “because there is no one who will perform a miracle in My name who can soon afterward speak evil of Me. For whoever is not against us is for us.
Mark 9:39-40 HCSB
Good morning fellow disciples.
In the previous devotion we saw the disciples stopping someone from setting persons free in Jesus name because he was not a member of their party. What was Jesus’ response?
“Don’t stop him, because there is no one who will perform a miracle in My name who can soon afterward speak evil of Me. For whoever is not against us is for us.”
Do not stop persons from performing miracles in Jesus name! Do not stop them!
You may have problems with them, you may have problems with their doctrine, you may have problems with their lifestyle, you may have problems because of how they look or because of some other human imperfection that you may see, however, you need to follow what Jesus says.
If he is doing the work of God, let him!
If the persons are limited in their understanding or relationship with God, who are you to stop them from doing what God is telling them to do?
Sometimes it is the person who does not know much who steps out in faith! Have you stepped out in faith to do the work of God, or are you looking around to see who you can prevent from doing God’s work?
If you are limited in your understanding and relationship with God, who are you to stop someone else from doing the work of God?
Prayer: Lord Jesus, I love the pronouns that you use. Me: “Don’t stop him, because there is no one who will perform a miracle in My name who can soon afterward speak evil of Me.”
Us: “For whoever is not against us is for us.” Is this us, Father, Son and the Holy Spirit or, Jesus and the church?
It doesn’t matter to me Lord. All I know is that I will not judge those who are doing Your work. I will obediently follow You and allow others to do the same. Amen.
Say, you got a nice article post. Thanks Again. Awesome.
