Then David confessed to Nathan, “I have sinned against the Lord.” Nathan replied, “Yes, but the Lord has forgiven you, and you won’t die for this sin.
2 Samuel 12:13 NLT
Good morning fellow disciples.
Confess: to unburden one’s sins or the state of one’s conscience to God or to a priest.
In this verse we see David confessing his sin to Nathan the prophet. David had been trying to hide this sin from others for a while, and he had not confessed the sin to God. But on this day the prophet revealed to him that his sin was known. In response David confessed the sin that had been burdening him down.
Are you in a similar situation where you need to confess your sin to a fellow human being? Who will be the priest or prophet that you will go to?
The person you unburden your sin and the state of your conscience to can be ANY fellow disciple!
Who will you choose to confess to today?
Receive the forgiveness you need by stepping out in faith to confess your sin to another person!
Prayer: Father God, it is my prayer that today we will be vulnerable one with another and confess our sins to each other. Amen.
