“You have condemned yourself,” David said, “for you yourself confessed that you killed the Lord’s anointed one.”
2 Samuel 1:16 NLT
Good morning fellow disciples.
Confess: to tell or make known; to give evidence of.
Sometimes we are afraid to confess because we fear being condemned, we fear punishment, or we fear retribution. This is especially true when we confess sinful or hurtful things.
Sometimes we love to confess because we expect to be rewarded for our confessions. Sometimes, however, we are punished for what we believe that we should be rewarded for.
Have you ever received punishment when you made a confession?
Was that punishment justified?
Regardless of the expected punishment, will you go to God and others today, and make your confession?
Prayer: Lord God, I confess to You both the good and bad that I have done. Help me, today, to boldly confess to others also, regardless of the possible outcomes. Amen.
