They must confess their sin and make full restitution for what they have done, adding an additional 20 percent and returning it to the person who was wronged.
Numbers 5:7 NLT
Good morning fellow disciples.
Confess: to unburden one’s sins or the state of one’s conscience to God or to a priest.
After we confess our sins what do we do next? Sometimes we don’t confess to God only or to a priest. We also confess our sins to the ones that we have wronged. Sometimes the confession is all that is needed to bring about healing in that relationship.
We sometimes however have to go beyond just repenting of our sins and confessing our sins to those that we have hurt and make restitution for what we have done.
We sometimes have to repay a debt, replace what was stolen, give back what we deprived them of, and according to this verse we need to give them more than what was taken from them.
Are you willing to not only make confessions, but also make restitution with interest to those that you have wronged?
Have you been doing that?
Prayer: Lord God, I will repay with interest everything that I owe to those whom I have wronged. Amen.
