John 5:8 NLT- Jesus told him, “Stand up, pick up your mat, and walk!”

Good morning, fellow disciples.
Are you willing to do whatever it takes to claim your healing even if it requires you going against religious norms?
In this passage, we literally see Jesus telling this guy to break the religious law in order to claim his healing. This man had been sick for 38 years and no one had healed him from the religious system that he was under. Along comes Jesus and tells him to pick up his mat and walk. The man listened to Jesus and was instantly healed.
John 5:9 NLT- Instantly, the man was healed! He rolled up his sleeping mat and began walking! But this miracle happened on the Sabbath,
The man had a choice: obey the Son of God or stick to the religious rules. In this case, the best thing to do was to listen to the Son of God. Many of us grew up in religious systems that kept us bound or chained. This is one of the things that Jesus came to set us free from.
Isaiah 42:7 – “You will open the eyes of the blind. You will free the captives from prison, releasing those who sit in dark dungeons.”
Are you ill? Would you like to get well? Are you willing to claim your healing?
Be like this man who listened to the voice of God, claimed his healing, and walked away restored and whole!
Remember, your healing has already been paid for: “He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed.” 1 Peter 2:24
Prayer: Father God, whatever You say that I should do to claim my healing, I will do it! Thank You, Jesus, for paying the price for my healing. I receive what you have done for me, and I will walk out of every prison that is holding me captive. I do this in the power and the authority of your name. Amen
