Good morning, fellow disciples.
Have you heard what the Holy Spirit is saying to the churches?
Do you understand His message to us?
Are you being obedient to Him?
Gaining the reward of not being harmed by the second death is something that we should all aspire towards. But how do we do that?
In the message to the church at Smyrna, we realized that some disciples were being persecuted. They were poor and they were suffering. They were being opposed by religious people. Some of them were being thrown into prison and some of them were even being put to death.
But Jesus encouraged them to remain faithful even when facing death. If they were victorious, then they would not be harmed by the second death.
Are you remaining faithful to God even though you may be suffering persecution and the threat of death?
Prayer: Father God, no matter what happens to me, I will remain faithful to You. I have heard Your message, Lord Jesus, and I am encouraged that You are with me. Strengthen me to face the opposition from the devil. Amen.
