‘And the church is his body; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with himself.’ Ephesians 1:23
Good morning fellow disciples.
Christ comes from Christos, a Greek word that means “the anointed one,” or “the chosen one.” Christ is far above any power, authority, leader, or anything else.
Ecclesia comes from the Greek word meaning “assembly” or “called-out assembly.” Jesus’ Ecclesia or Church are believers who are called out from the world into a special relationship with God.
Christ, the anointed one, was chosen to redeem mankind from the grip of sin. The purpose of Christ’s body, his church, is to spread the life changing gospel of the Kingdom of God. His Church has all the delegated authority of Jesus Christ who is head over everything. As long as we stay united with Him, we will be effective in advancing the Kingdom of God here on earth.
Because of the anointing of Christ, we, His body, are made full and complete. We lack nothing!
Prayer: I’m so glad that I am a part of the body of Christ, Chosen by God, anointed by God, loved by God, commissioned by God, and accepted as a son of God. We, Your Church, will wholeheartedly serve You and remain filled with You, Lord Jesus. Amen.
